In
time all great things must come to an end. Five years after its inception we are putting
Speaker Eater to sleep this coming August. Life calls individuals in a
multitude of directions; David is moving out west, Thomas continues to keep
busy with other projects like Warship, and I am entering my final semesters of
college at UW-River Falls. Rather than drag it out we thought it was best to
end on the success of our recent LP “Ships Out of Water”. This record was a
milestone for all of us, in our songwriting and the vinyl record we were able
to bring into existence. We are forever grateful to all those who gave
us the opportunity to express ourselves over these years. It wouldn’t have been
possible without the bands we shared stages with and most importantly those who
came to watch and listen.
You have two more opportunities to see us this summer
before we throw in the towel. July 10th we will be back in Dubuque,
IA performing with our friends in Dredge. We will be playing a farewell show
the first weekend of August in Wausau. Details for both shows will be
forthcoming.
